STEM: A choice or a Necessity!
STEM, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, is an educational approach that integrates these four disciplines into a cohesive learning model. Stem activities focus of understanding theories and concepts through PBL. PBL is the new NORMAL, it stands for Project Based Learning and also Play Based Learning. The goal of STEM education is to make students understand and appreciate concepts, theories and principles through example. The retention of fundamental concepts should be achieved through examples and applications, instead of definitions and formulas. When subjects like Mathematics and Science are studied in isolation, their possibilities are limited. However, when combined with technology through hands-on learning, the opportunities for exploration and discovery become boundless.
